Wayhey...my first client!

I've just been hired to design a website for a paintball company in Edinburgh. I'm absolutely delighted to finally get a client and will be starting work on it first thing tomorow! The deadline is pretty tight, especially because it clashes with other commitments but this is a massive opportunity that I'm not gonna miss!

While I was converting all of my files from my old computer to my shiny new laptop, I discovered these drawings that I scanned in years ago, so I thought I would upload them!

This is a drawing of one of my favourite music icons, Axl Rose, the lead singer of Guns N' Roses.

This is a drawing of Andrea Corr, the singer from The Corrs, who I think is beautiful.

Stamp Out Sectarianism

This is a poster that I created as one of my first assignments at University. It was created to help the campaign to stop sectarian abuse at football matches in Scotland.

Rock The Burgh 2008

For my Graded Unit during my HNC at Stevenson College, I promoted a fictional music festival set in Edinburgh and called it Rock The Burgh.

This is the logo that I designed for the concert, which uses an old english typeface which is supposed to represent Edinburgh because it is such a historic British city, and the image of the lion rampant playing the guitar is pretty obvious as the lion rampant is a national symbol of Scotland.

This is the poster that I designed to advertise the concert, making use of the logo and including all of the important details about the concert. I chose to have it predominantly blue because the Scottish national flag is blue.

Easton Design - My Online Portfolio

I recently finished designing and building my online portfolio website. I'm so relieved to finally have my own site so I can now link future clients or employers to my work which is so convenient.

I went with the name Easton Design because it sounds professional and obviously makes use of my surname. I wanted it to have its own logo, not only because it makes it more recognisable but also because it can have an influence on the design of my site, for example the colour of the pages. The four colours in the logo represent CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black), the four colours used for printing.

Have a gander at my site here.

What is Chutney-Dug?

If you've came across my blog, you are probably asking yourself , ''what is chutney dug?''. Well, Chutney Dug is a nickname that I get called by my close friends, don't ask me how it started because it's a long and confusing story!

I then started to use the name as my design alias, using it as a signature on many of my designs such as Bebo Skins etc.

I felt it was the best thing to name my blog...so now you know!
